Meet the team

All of the named individuals and businesses below have worked extensively within the paper, printing and packaging sectors for well over a hundred years collectively. They all understand the pressures and challenges within the sector and are well placed to give you sensible, direct and honest advice in their chosen fields.

I started the business over four years ago (Dec 2006) with an ambition to provide the Print Industry with a trustworthy and valuable source of advice and some practical help. I think with the people that have now agreed to work with the business - we are now in a position to deliver this.

Associates

• Ian Brown - Ian has worked in the print and paper industries for the majority of his career occupying senior main board positions within the paper trade. He now runs Principle Partners and has interests in several other businesses. He works in and covers the South of England and Wales. Ian's specialist area is Sales and Marketing.
• Ian Hartley - Ian is a qualified Accountant and was the Financial Director of a Print Group up until recently. He now specialises in Business Turnaround and Exit Strategy Planning. Ian lives in Edinburgh and covers the North and Scotland.
• Michael Armitage - Based in the Republic of Ireland (but a Yorkshireman) Michael covers the Republic and Northern Ireland but is also available to help Turnaround clients in the central regions of England and Wales.
• Ken Walters - Based in Swansea Ken is one of the UK’s leading Independent SME Business Consultants. In addition to his financial and business acumen Ken is an expert in securing funding and grants.

Financial Advice and Advisors

In addition to the team opposite we have enlisted the help of a number of individuals and businesses that can help our clients obtain the funding they need to either purchase another business or re-finance an existing one.

Principle Partners merely refer you to our partners we offer no financial advice directly to our clients.

Tax Advice and Advisors

Good tax advice is an essential part of any business sale, turnaround situation or exit strategy. Often the best advice is acquired many months or years in advance. We have a number of qualified individuals available to you across the U.K. and Ireland, once again we do not offer tax advice directly.

Collective knowledge and experience

As you can see Principle Partners offers your business an enormous breadth of business experience and knowledge. It may well be that a combination of our associates and experts are required to help your business. Alternatively it may be that you require one of our associates on an interim management basis. We will select the right associates for the right situation.
