Buying a print business

print businesses in severe financial difficulties. Below are the stages that we take
prospective buyers through:
- Consultation - the most important element of looking to purchase is to agree and
formalise what your criteria for purchase are. We highly recommend a well thought
out written document that will prevent you from making poor instinctive decisions
further down the line - as and when opportunities present themselves. We can help
you draw up a precise list of your acquisition objectives. Principle Partners can

- Funding Reviews and Business Planning - if you don't already have funding in place
we can put you in touch with our associates about the funding alternatives available
to you. We can also help with financial modelling and forecasting so that you can
present the potential lenders with a more accurate idea of the funding you will need
and future illustrations and forecasts.
- Marketing activity - now that we are clear on your objectives we will start to contact
target suitable businesses via the telephone, direct mail and email (annonymously
at this stage). We have an extensive list of print businesses that have already expressed
an interest in selling in the past. If there is a match between these businesses
and your criteria then obviously we will make an approach.
- Confidentiality and Approach - we will protect your confidentiality in these initial
stages until we have assessed vendor interest and the viability of the purchase.
It is also important that we have some indicative financial support in place so that
we can reassure the vendor that you can deliver on any subsequent offer.
- Offer Management and Heads of Terms - we can document the agreed terms so that the
offer is clear for both parties and that there is a clear timeframe in place to complete
the deal. We can also make arrangements for Due Diligence to be undertaken and will
manage all the parties through to completion..
- Closing the deal and Post deal - we will be around to oversee the conclusion of the
acquisition agreement and any issues such as deferred considerations that still need
to be managed after completion.
