Consultation and Preparation- talk with us at an early stage about how we can optimise
the performance and value of your business leading up to a potential sale. We'll
help you to identify your sale criteria and objectives and then we will advise you
on the range of options open to you currently and in the future. If you want to proceed
then we need to think about drawing up the documentation that will be needed and
doing some initial work on identifying potential buyers.
Valuation- the next step is to get your business valued and set a realistic saleprice that you're happy with and yet will interest potential buyers. The valuation
will be based on a assessment of the businesses net asset value, retained and repeating
profits and non re-occuring costs post the sale.
Documentation- once we have agreed upon a valuation we need to draw up an initial
"desktop" document that tells a prospective purchaser all they need to know about
your business at this early stage. This annonymous document will be mailed or emailed
to the potential purchasers we have identified and other businesses within our network
that we have identified as potential purchasers.
We then need to draw up a full Memorandum of Sale which will detail all the information
a serious potential purchaser will want to know including a brief financial summary.
This document will only be sent to any one who has demonstrated serious intent and
signed a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
Marketing Activity- we will now begin to market your business via email, telephone
and direct mail to our database of over 5000 other printers. Obviously making sure
that we target those businesses that are most likely to have an interest in acquiring
your business. Athough we would always guard against too many pre-conceived ideas
- buyers sometimes come from the unlikeliest sources!
Response Management- we then begin the process of managing, filtering and controlling
all the responses. We ensure that any interested party has signed an NDA and that
they can now receive more detailed information with your approval.
Purchase Management- We are then there beside you to help in the negotiation process,
protecting your interests and trying to secure the best value that we can. We highly
recommend that we are involved in the later stages of the negotiation irrespective
of the relationship you may have developed with the buyer - hiccups can occur right
up to the eleventh hour and our impartiality could be vital in securing the deal
you want.
Documentation- We are able to produce all the documentation needed to complete the
sale. You will however need to engage a legally qualified individual to complete
the process
